What the notice says On certain medium duty trucks, it is possible that serrations were not machined deep enough into the lower pedal assembly to effectively engage with serrations in the lower pedal. as a result the upper pedal may pivot forward in its mounting bolt during a hard brake application causing it to bind on the floor board … Is your vehicle included? ON CERTAIN MEDIUM DUTY TRUCKS, IT IS POSSIBLE THAT SERRATIONS WERE NOT MACHINED DEEP ENOUGH INTO THE LOWER PEDAL ASSEMBLY TO EFFECTIVELY ENGAGE WITH SERRATIONS IN THE LOWER PEDAL. AS A RESULT THE UPPER PEDAL MAY PIVOT FORWARD IN ITS MOUNTING BOLT DURING A HARD BRAKE APPLICATION CAUSING IT TO BIND ON THE FLOOR BOARD PERMITTING ONLY A PARTIAL OR INEFFECTIVE APPLICATION OF THE BRAKES.
