CORROSION ON THE INSIDE OF THE ALUMINUM END-CAP OF THE SPRING BRAKE, CAN RESULT IN SUDDEN FRACTURE OF THE END-CAP WHICH NORMALLY RETAINS THE PARKING/EMERGENCY SPRING. THIS FRACTURE IN TURN WOULD CAUSE A VIOLENT EJECTION OF PARTS OF THE END-CAP AND THE SPRINT ITSELF. THIS CONDITION COULD CAUSE SEVERE INJURIES TO PEOPLE CLOSE TO THE BRAKE AT THE TIME OF FAILURE.
