In the event of an emergency, passengers may not be able to quickly exit the bus, which could increase the risk of personal injuries. Also, if all the fasteners on a single retaining bar failed, the window could separate from the vehicle and strike another vehicle, a stationary object, or a bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury.
