What the notice says Issue: On certain tridem axle trailers, the parking brake may be slower to apply than what is allowed by Canadian regulations. Additionally, the service brakes on some trailers with a 72” axle spread may release more slowly than what is allowed by the regulations. Issue: On certain tridem axle trailers, the parking brake may be slower to apply than what is allowed by Canadian regulations. Additionally, the service brakes on some trailers with a 72” axle spread may release more slowly than what is allowed by the regulations. Safety Risk: Delayed parking brake application could result in unintended vehicle movement. Delayed release of the service brakes could affect brake performance and vehicle stability. Either could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Lode King will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their trailer to a dealer for an inspection of the air brake system.
