"excerpt": "Buick Verano, Chevrolet Camaro, Chevrolet Cruze, Chevrolet Sonic, model year 2012. Filed by General Motors LLC and reported to NHTSA on 24 January 2013. 4,167 vehicles potentially affected. What the notice says General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, Cruze and Sonic, and model year 2012 Buick Verano vehicles. The driver side frontal air bag has a shorting bar which may intermittently contact the air bag terminals. Is your vehicle included? Check with your VIN at NHTSA , or ask a dealer. This page is an independent copy of the notice, kept so you can see what changed after it was published. It is not the authority, and the authority’s own text is the one to act on. CarsMultiverse / Recalls General Motors's own number for this recall: 12261. That is the number on the owner letter and on the dealer paperwork. 13V023 is the number NHTSA gave the same campaign, and the number this page is filed under. They are one recall, written two ways. Answered from the register this site holds. NHTSA is the record to act on. What the authority says can happen if this is not fixed: “If the bar and terminals are contacting each other at the time of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, that air bag will not deploy, increasing the driver's risk of injury.” 13V023 General Motors LLC Air Bags 24 January 2013 2012-2012 BUICK VERANO, CHEVROLET CAMARO, CHEVROLET CRUZE, CHEVROLET SONIC If the bar and terminals are contacting each other",
