"excerpt": "Hyundai Entourage, model years 2007 to 2008. Filed by Hyundai Motor America and reported to NHTSA on 21 November 2016. 41,264 vehicles potentially affected. What the notice says Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain model year 2007-2008 Entourage vehicles manufactured February 16, 2006, to June 30, 2008. In the affected vehicles, the secondary hood latch may corrode and bind and remain in the unlatched position when the hood is closed. Is your vehicle included? Check with your VIN at NHTSA , or ask a dealer. This page is an independent copy of the notice, kept so you can see what changed after it was published. It is not the authority, and the authority’s own text is the one to act on. CarsMultiverse / Recalls Hyundai's own number for this recall: 154. That is the number on the owner letter and on the dealer paperwork. 16V843 is the number NHTSA gave the same campaign, and the number this page is filed under. They are one recall, written two ways. Answered from the register this site holds. NHTSA is the record to act on. What the authority says can happen if this is not fixed: “If the primary latch is inadvertently released and the secondary latch is not engaged, the hood could unexpectedly open while driving, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.” 16V843 Hyundai Motor America Latches/Locks/Linkages:Hood:Latch 21 November 2016 2007-2008 HYUNDAI ENTOURAGE If the primary latch is inadvertently released and the secondary latch is not engaged, the hood could unex",
