"excerpt": "Recaro Am71, Recaro Am72, Recaro Am80, model year 9999. Filed by Prevost Cars, Inc. and reported to NHTSA on 22 November 2017. 84 vehicles potentially affected. What the notice says Prevost Cars, Inc. (Prevost) is recalling certain Recaro AM71, AM72 and AM80 commercial bus driver seats sold as aftermarket replacement parts. In the affected seats, the seat belt buckle may be stuck in the locked position, preventing the seat belt tongue from being able to be inserted and locked. Is your vehicle included? Check with your VIN at NHTSA , or ask a dealer. This page is an independent copy of the notice, kept so you can see what changed after it was published. It is not the authority, and the authority’s own text is the one to act on. CarsMultiverse / Recalls Prevost's own number for this recall: CR4316E AND CR4340E. That is the number on the owner letter and on the dealer paperwork. 17E071 is the number NHTSA gave the same campaign, and the number this page is filed under. They are one recall, written two ways. Answered from the register this site holds. NHTSA is the record to act on. What the authority says can happen if this is not fixed: “If the seat belt cannot be latched, the bus may be operated without the seat belt being used, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.” 17E071 Prevost Cars, Inc.
