"excerpt": "Gulf Stream Amerilite, model years 2011 to 2017. Filed by Gulf Stream Coach, Inc. and reported to NHTSA on 4 April 2017. 251 vehicles potentially affected. What the notice says Gulf Stream Coach, Inc. (Gulf Stream) is recalling certain 2011-2017 Amerilite trailers, model 14RBC. The Federal Placard on these vehicles may have incorrect Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) information. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, \"Certification.\" Is your vehicle included? Check with your VIN at NHTSA , or ask a dealer. This page is an independent copy of the notice, kept so you can see what changed after it was published. It is not the authority, and the authority’s own text is the one to act on. CarsMultiverse / Recalls Gulf Stream's own number for this recall: GS040417. That is the number on the owner letter and on the dealer paperwork. 17V230 is the number NHTSA gave the same campaign, and the number this page is filed under. They are one recall, written two ways. Answered from the register this site holds. NHTSA is the record to act on. What the authority says can happen if this is not fixed: “Incorrect GVWR information may result in the trailer being overloaded, affecting the tires or the vehicle's handling, increasing the risk of a crash.” 17V230 Gulf Stream Coach, Inc.
