"excerpt": "Mitsubishi Lancer, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, Mitsubishi Outlander, Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, model years 2015 to 2017. Filed by Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. and reported to NHTSA on 29 September 2017. 132,552 vehicles potentially affected. What the notice says Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) is recalling certain 2015-2017 Outlander, 2015-2016 Lancer and Outlander Sport, and 2015 Lancer Evolution vehicles. These vehicles may have defective relays that can result in an engine stall, reduced engine power or the engine overheating. Is your vehicle included? Check with your VIN at NHTSA , or ask a dealer. This page is an independent copy of the notice, kept so you can see what changed after it was published. It is not the authority, and the authority’s own text is the one to act on. CarsMultiverse / Recalls Mitsubishi's own number for this recall: SR-17-005. That is the number on the owner letter and on the dealer paperwork. 17V609 is the number NHTSA gave the same campaign, and the number this page is filed under. They are one recall, written two ways. Answered from the register this site holds. NHTSA is the record to act on. What the authority says can happen if this is not fixed: “If the engine stalls, there is an increased the risk of a crash.” 17V609 Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc.
