"excerpt": "Trail King Aacs, Trail King Acs, model years 2016 to 2017. Filed by Trail King Industries, Inc. and reported to NHTSA on 18 January 2019. 80 vehicles potentially affected. What the notice says Trail King Industries, Inc. (Trail King) is recalling certain 2016-2017 ACS and AACS drop deck fifth wheel trailers equipped with fifth wheel plates that have a 14\" king pin setting and 1/4\" plate. The fifth wheel coupler plate on these vehicles may crack, potentially allowing the trailer to detach from the tractor. Is your vehicle included? Check with your VIN at NHTSA , or ask a dealer. This page is an independent copy of the notice, kept so you can see what changed after it was published. It is not the authority, and the authority’s own text is the one to act on. CarsMultiverse / Recalls Trail King's own number for this recall: TK201901. That is the number on the owner letter and on the dealer paperwork. 19V045 is the number NHTSA gave the same campaign, and the number this page is filed under. They are one recall, written two ways. Answered from the register this site holds. NHTSA is the record to act on. What the authority says can happen if this is not fixed: “If the trailer to detaches from the tractor, it can increase the risk of a crash.” 19V045 Trail King Industries, Inc.
