"excerpt": "Zero Ds, Zero Dsr, Zero Fx, Zero Fxs, Zero S, Zero Sr, model year 2021. Filed by Zero Motorcycles Inc. and reported to NHTSA on 15 October 2020. 64 vehicles potentially affected. What the notice says Zero Motorcycle Inc. (Zero) is recalling certain 2021 SR, S, DSR, DS, FX, and FXS motorcycles. The DC-DC converter has an insufficient power output margin to operate the anti-lock braking system (ABS), instruments, lights, indicators, and any accessories that are connected to the accessory outlet at once. Is your vehicle included? Check with your VIN at NHTSA , or ask a dealer. This page is an independent copy of the notice, kept so you can see what changed after it was published. It is not the authority, and the authority’s own text is the one to act on. CarsMultiverse / Recalls Zero's own number for this recall: SV-ZMC-021-019. That is the number on the owner letter and on the dealer paperwork. 20V640 is the number NHTSA gave the same campaign, and the number this page is filed under. They are one recall, written two ways. Answered from the register this site holds. NHTSA is the record to act on. What the authority says can happen if this is not fixed: “The DC-DC converter can shut off when its power capacity is exceeded, shutting off the ABS, instruments, and lights, increasing the risk of a crash.” 20V640 Zero Motorcycles Inc.
