"summary": "Recall 21V00M000 (Hyundai): A windshield that detaches from a vehicle during a crash can increase the risk of injury. Hyundai's own number: 216.",
"excerpt": "Hyundai. What the notice says Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Santa Fe, 2021 Sonata, and Elantra vehicles. During manufacturing, the windshield may not have been properly bonded to the vehicle, allowing it to detach in a crash. Is your vehicle included? Check with your VIN at NHTSA , or ask a dealer. This page is an independent copy of the notice, kept so you can see what changed after it was published. It is not the authority, and the authority’s own text is the one to act on. CarsMultiverse / Recalls Hyundai's own number for this recall: 216. That is the number on the owner letter and on the dealer paperwork. 21V00M000 is the number NHTSA gave the same campaign, and the number this page is filed under. They are one recall, written two ways. Answered from the register this site holds. NHTSA is the record to act on. What the authority says can happen if this is not fixed: “A windshield that detaches from a vehicle during a crash can increase the risk of injury.” We have not read the wording of this notice, so we cannot tell you whether it has been edited. This site re-reads the most recent American campaigns every few hours and keeps every version. Campaign 21V00M000 sits outside that set, so there is no earlier version here to compare against. We would rather say that than imply a check we did not make. Read the current official notice at NHTSA , or see what we hold and when we last read it . 26V493: 2027 Genesis G80 26V452: 2025 Kona Electric ",
