"excerpt": "Porsche Macan, Porsche Macan Gts, Porsche Macan S, Porsche Macan Turbo, model years 2015 to 2018. Filed by Porsche Cars North America, Inc. and reported to NHTSA on 3 March 2021. 39,547 vehicles potentially affected. What the notice says Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Macan, Macan Turbo Kits, Macan GTS, 2015-2018 Macan S, and Macan Turbo vehicles. The front passenger seat occupancy sensor mat may degrade and fail to detect a passenger in the front seat. Is your vehicle included? Check with your VIN at NHTSA , or ask a dealer. This page is an independent copy of the notice, kept so you can see what changed after it was published. It is not the authority, and the authority’s own text is the one to act on. CarsMultiverse / Recalls Porsche's own number for this recall: AMA2. That is the number on the owner letter and on the dealer paperwork. 21V131 is the number NHTSA gave the same campaign, and the number this page is filed under. They are one recall, written two ways. Answered from the register this site holds. NHTSA is the record to act on. What the authority says can happen if this is not fixed: “The air bag will not deploy during a crash if a front passenger is undetected, increasing the risk of injury.” 21V131 Porsche Cars North America, Inc.
