"excerpt": "Audi Q5, Audi Q5 Sportback, Audi Sq5, model years 2018 to 2022. Filed by Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. and reported to NHTSA on 8 December 2021. 288,991 vehicles potentially affected. What the notice says Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Q5 Sportback, SQ5 Sportback, 2018-2022 Q5, and SQ5 vehicles. A liquid spill in the rear seat, or water ingress from an insufficient body seam underneath the vehicle may allow liquid to penetrate the gateway control module, causing it to shutdown. Is your vehicle included? Check with your VIN at NHTSA , or ask a dealer. This page is an independent copy of the notice, kept so you can see what changed after it was published. It is not the authority, and the authority’s own text is the one to act on. CarsMultiverse / Recalls Audi's own number for this recall: 90S9. That is the number on the owner letter and on the dealer paperwork. 21V947 is the number NHTSA gave the same campaign, and the number this page is filed under. They are one recall, written two ways. Answered from the register this site holds. NHTSA is the record to act on. What the authority says can happen if this is not fixed: “A gateway control module shutdown will suddenly reduce engine power, increasing the risk of a crash.” 21V947 Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
