"excerpt": "Nikola Tre Bev, model years 2022 to 2024. Filed by Nikola Corporation and reported to NHTSA on 6 April 2023. 364 vehicles potentially affected. What the notice says Nikola Corporation (Nikola) is recalling certain 2022-2024 TRE BEV trucks. The electronic parking brake valve module (PVM) may fail to move into the park position when the parking brake is activated. Is your vehicle included? Check with your VIN at NHTSA , or ask a dealer. This page is an independent copy of the notice, kept so you can see what changed after it was published. It is not the authority, and the authority’s own text is the one to act on. CarsMultiverse / Recalls Nikola's own number for this recall: 23VDC0301. That is the number on the owner letter and on the dealer paperwork. 23V249 is the number NHTSA gave the same campaign, and the number this page is filed under. They are one recall, written two ways. Answered from the register this site holds. NHTSA is the record to act on. What the authority says can happen if this is not fixed: “A parking brake that is not engaged as expected when the driver releases the brakes may allow the vehicle to rollaway, increasing the risk of crash.” 23V249 Nikola Corporation Parking Brake 6 April 2023 2022-2024 NIKOLA TRE BEV A parking brake that is not engaged as expected when the driver releases the brakes may allow the vehicle to rollaway, increasing the risk of crash.
