"excerpt": "Trail King Ab, Trail King Ab Ext, Trail King Tkfa, Trail King Tkpa, model years 1992 to 2023. Filed by Trail King Industries, Inc. and reported to NHTSA on 14 August 2023. 5,641 vehicles potentially affected. What the notice says Trail King Industries, Inc. (Trail King) is recalling certain 1992-2023 TKFA, TKPA, AB, and AB EXT trailers equipped with pin-on axles or pivot extensions. The shims that transfer weight between the trailer and the pin-on axle may detach if the air line or air suspension lose compression. Is your vehicle included? Check with your VIN at NHTSA , or ask a dealer. This page is an independent copy of the notice, kept so you can see what changed after it was published. It is not the authority, and the authority’s own text is the one to act on. CarsMultiverse / Recalls Trail King's own number for this recall: TK202301. That is the number on the owner letter and on the dealer paperwork. 23V578 is the number NHTSA gave the same campaign, and the number this page is filed under. They are one recall, written two ways. Answered from the register this site holds. NHTSA is the record to act on. What the authority says can happen if this is not fixed: “Detached shims can fall into the roadway and become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.” 23V578 Trail King Industries, Inc.
