"summary": "Recall 24V404 (Fisker): A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash. Fisker's own number: TSB10032403.",
"excerpt": "Fisker Ocean, model year 2023. Filed by Fisker Group Inc and reported to NHTSA on 5 June 2024. 6,864 vehicles potentially affected. What the notice says Fisker Group Inc (Fisker) is recalling all 2023 Ocean vehicles. The Motor Control Unit (MCU) and Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) software may cause the vehicle to enter a safe state protection mode unexpectedly, causing a loss of drive power. Is your vehicle included? Check with your VIN at NHTSA , or ask a dealer. This page is an independent copy of the notice, kept so you can see what changed after it was published. It is not the authority, and the authority’s own text is the one to act on. CarsMultiverse / Recalls Fisker's own number for this recall: TSB10032403. That is the number on the owner letter and on the dealer paperwork. 24V404 is the number NHTSA gave the same campaign, and the number this page is filed under. They are one recall, written two ways. Answered from the register this site holds. NHTSA is the record to act on. What the authority says can happen if this is not fixed: “A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.” 24V404 Fisker Group Inc Electrical System:Propulsion System:Traction Battery:Management System/Energy Control Module (BMS/Becm):Software 5 June 2024 2023-2023 FISKER OCEAN This is not an ordinary campaign. The remedy is delivered over the air . There may be no garage visit, no invoice and no paper trail the owner ever sees, which is also why a later revision to the wording can pass unnotice",
