"excerpt": "Volvo Vah, Volvo Vhd, Volvo Vn, Volvo Vnre (Electric), model years 2020 to 2025. Filed by Volvo Trucks North America and reported to NHTSA on 23 October 2024. 124,949 vehicles potentially affected. What the notice says Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2020-2025 VN, VAH, VHD and VNRE trucks, equipped with Bendix EC80 Advanced Electronic Control Units (ECU). Electrical noise and low signal to the power line carrier may cause the ECU to incorrectly process commands or stop working. Is your vehicle included? Check with your VIN at NHTSA , or ask a dealer. This page is an independent copy of the notice, kept so you can see what changed after it was published. It is not the authority, and the authority’s own text is the one to act on. CarsMultiverse / Recalls Volvo's own number for this recall: RVXX2409. That is the number on the owner letter and on the dealer paperwork. 24V790 is the number NHTSA gave the same campaign, and the number this page is filed under. They are one recall, written two ways. Answered from the register this site holds. NHTSA is the record to act on. What the authority says can happen if this is not fixed: “Safety systems that depend on the ECU (Automatic Traction Control, ABS, Electronic Stability Control, Active Cruise Control, and Collison Mitigation System) may have diminished or lost functionality, increasing the risk of a crash.” 24V790 Volvo Trucks North America Electrical System:Software 23 October 2024 2020-2025 VOLVO VA",
