"excerpt": "Bendix Ec80 Ecu, model year 9999. Filed by Mack Trucks, Inc. and reported to NHTSA on 18 November 2025. 46 vehicles potentially affected. What the notice says Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain Bendix EC80 Advanced Electronic Control Units (ECU) part numbers K190048 and K163499. Electrical noise and low signal to the power line carrier may cause the ECU to incorrectly process commands or stop working. Is your vehicle included? Check with your VIN at NHTSA , or ask a dealer. This page is an independent copy of the notice, kept so you can see what changed after it was published. It is not the authority, and the authority’s own text is the one to act on. CarsMultiverse / Recalls Mack's own number for this recall: SC0490. That is the number on the owner letter and on the dealer paperwork. 25E078 is the number NHTSA gave the same campaign, and the number this page is filed under. They are one recall, written two ways. Answered from the register this site holds. NHTSA is the record to act on. What the authority says can happen if this is not fixed: “Safety systems that depend on the ECU (Automatic Traction Control, ABS, Electronic Stability Control, Active Cruise Control, and Collison Mitigation System) may have diminished or lost functionality, increasing the risk of a crash.” 25E078 Mack Trucks, Inc.
