"excerpt": "Mopar Trailer Tow Module, model year 9999. Filed by Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) and reported to NHTSA on 2 February 2026. 5,565 vehicles potentially affected. What the notice says Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain Mopar tow trailer modules. Please refer to FCA US, LLC's recall report for specific model numbers. Due to an improperly designed trailer tow module, the trailer lights may fail to illuminate and the trailer brakes may fail. Is your vehicle included? Check with your VIN at NHTSA , or ask a dealer. This page is an independent copy of the notice, kept so you can see what changed after it was published. It is not the authority, and the authority’s own text is the one to act on. CarsMultiverse / Recalls Mopar's own number for this recall: 04D. That is the number on the owner letter and on the dealer paperwork. 26E006 is the number NHTSA gave the same campaign, and the number this page is filed under. They are one recall, written two ways. Answered from the register this site holds. NHTSA is the record to act on. What the authority says can happen if this is not fixed: “Trailer brake lights and turn signals that do not illuminate reduce visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, trailer brakes that fail increase the risk of a crash.” 26E006 Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) Exterior Lighting:Turn Signal 2 February 2026 9999-9999 MOPAR TRAILER TOW MODULE Trailer brake lights and turn signals that do not illuminate reduce visibility to other driver",
