"excerpt": "Volvo Vnl (4), Volvo Vnr (4), model years 2025 to 2027. Filed by Volvo Trucks North America and reported to NHTSA on 23 April 2026. 2,800 vehicles potentially affected. What the notice says Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2026-2027 VNR (4) and 2025-2027 VNL (4) vehicles. The rear brake modulators may have unprotected electrical connectors that can short circuit and lead to a loss of the anti-lock brake system (ABS) and electronic stability control (ESC). Is your vehicle included? Check with your VIN at NHTSA , or ask a dealer. This page is an independent copy of the notice, kept so you can see what changed after it was published. It is not the authority, and the authority’s own text is the one to act on. CarsMultiverse / Recalls Volvo's own number for this recall: RVXX2605. That is the number on the owner letter and on the dealer paperwork. 26V260 is the number NHTSA gave the same campaign, and the number this page is filed under. They are one recall, written two ways. Answered from the register this site holds. NHTSA is the record to act on. What the authority says can happen if this is not fixed: “A loss of anti-lock brakes and electronic stability control increases the risk of a crash or injury.” 26V260 Volvo Trucks North America Service Brakes, Air:Antilock:Control Unit/Module 23 April 2026 2025-2027 VOLVO VNL (4), VOLVO VNR (4) Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2026-2027 VNR (4) and 2025-2027 VNL (4) vehicles.
