How we ask for consent
When you first visit CarsMultiverse you are shown a consent banner with the options Accept, Deny and View preferences. Non-essential cookies (statistics and marketing) are blocked until you give consent, in line with the EU GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive. We also use Google Consent Mode v2, so Google services adjust their behaviour according to your choice. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the button below.
Categories of cookies we use
Functional (always active)
These are necessary for the website and the consent system to work and do not require consent. They include the cookies set by our consent-management plugin (Complianz) to remember your cookie choices, and basic session cookies.
Statistics / Analytics
With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, time on page, general location and device type) so we can improve our guides and tools. This data is processed by Google. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
Marketing / Advertising
With your consent we use Google AdSense to display advertising. AdSense may set cookies to measure ad performance and, where permitted, show more relevant ads. You can manage Google ad personalisation at Google Ad Settings.
Third-party services that may set cookies or load external content
- Google Analytics 4 โ website statistics (statistics consent).
- Google AdSense โ advertising (marketing consent).
- OpenStreetMap / Leaflet โ powers the “Find Anything Near You” map. Map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap when you use the directory. See the OSM Foundation Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts โ fonts are self-hosted on our own server, so no data is sent to Google for fonts.
- Complianz โ stores your consent preferences (functional).
How to control cookies
You can manage your consent at any time with the “Manage consent” button above, or by clearing cookies in your browser. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking functional cookies may stop parts of the site from working correctly.
