Concern

25S98 Ranger - Rear Brake Caliper Anchor Bolts Torque Inspection

Defect, as DVSA words it

On affected vehicles the correct tightening torque was not reached on some of the rear brake caliper anchor bolts during manufacturing. If one or both caliper mounting bolts are missing or fail the caliper may become dislodged from the axle and interfere with the wheel assembly and surrounding components.

Remedy, as DVSA words it

Inspect both rear brake calipers and replace any parts if necessary.

What changed since we first read it

Nothing yet. The wording has been the same on every read since 4 September 2026. The file is read again every day; if DVSA rewrites the defect, remedy or concern, the old and new text will appear here with both dates.
