The site republishes public vehicle safety records and keeps a dated history of their wording. You may read it, quote it, and link to it freely.
The data
Datasets we assemble and publish are offered under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0, which means you may use them, including commercially, provided you credit carsmultiverse.com. The underlying records belong to the authorities that published them and carry whatever terms those authorities apply. Details are on the open data page.
Automated access is welcome within reason. Please do not request faster than a page a second, and please identify your crawler.
What we do not warrant
We publish what we read, as we read it, and we take care over it. We cannot warrant that the record is complete, current, or free of error, because it is a copy of a source we do not control and which changes without notice. This site is not a substitute for the safety authority’s own record, and it must not be relied upon as one. Before acting on anything here, check the authority directly.
Only a vehicle identification number can establish whether a campaign applies to a particular vehicle. We do not perform that check and cannot perform it for you.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here affects your statutory rights.
Changes
If these terms change we will say so here with the date. Continued use after that date means the revised terms apply.
