Concern

Charger may be incorrectly wired

Defect, as DVSA words it

When charging the battery externally from the vehicle there is a possibility that the earth provision for some sides of charger enclosure may not function. This is due to the anodising and bonding of the charger enclosure not being sufficiently conductive. For the unit to be affected the hot AC wire must detach and contact a part of the charger enclosure that does not have effective earth provision. If the above situation occurs the user could be subject to an electric shock.

Remedy, as DVSA words it

A power supply cable with Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter will be supplied for all affected charger units.

What changed since we first read it

Nothing yet. The wording has been the same on every read since 4 September 2026. The file is read again every day; if DVSA rewrites the defect, remedy or concern, the old and new text will appear here with both dates.

The same recall in other registers

No match found in the American, Canadian or European registers by manufacturer reference, because DVSA lists none for this recall. A recall can exist abroad under a different reference; this site only claims a match when the reference agrees.
