Concern

Front airbag and/or seatbelt pre-tensioner may deploy unexpectedly

Defect, as DVSA words it

The airbag system Occupant Restraint Control (ORC) module may experience a front airbag and/or seatbelt pre-tensioner inadvertent deployment. An inadvertent deployment while driving could distract the driver and cause a crash without warning.

Remedy, as DVSA words it

Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the ORC module. Note: Vehicles that had Safety Recall (manufacturers ref.M35 DVSA ref. R/2013/120) - Occupant Restraint Control Module Filter Circuit completed must also have the ORC module filter circuit removed. Due to issues with parts supply the recall of WG/WJ models is suspended however KJ models remain unaffected

What changed since we first read it

Nothing yet. The wording has been the same on every read since 4 September 2026. The file is read again every day; if DVSA rewrites the defect, remedy or concern, the old and new text will appear here with both dates.

The same recall in other registers

No match found in the American, Canadian or European registers by manufacturer reference, because the reference DVSA lists is too short to match safely. A recall can exist abroad under a different reference; this site only claims a match when the reference agrees.
