Concern

Axle may become insecure

Defect, as DVSA words it

The mounting screws for the steered axles may not have been tightened correctly at the factory. If the screws are not fully tight the screws may undo and in the very worst case scenario if warnings are not heeded lead to the axle/s becoming insecure with the attendent loss of directional control.

Remedy, as DVSA words it

Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check torque of the axle screws. Where necessary the axle locating pin will be checked and new screws fitted. Additionally where necessary the suspension anchorage will be replaced.

What changed since we first read it

Nothing yet. The wording has been the same on every read since 4 September 2026. The file is read again every day; if DVSA rewrites the defect, remedy or concern, the old and new text will appear here with both dates.

The same recall in other registers

No match found in the American, Canadian or European registers by manufacturer reference. A recall can exist abroad under a different reference; this site only claims a match when the reference agrees.
