Concern

Fire may occur

Defect, as DVSA words it

For vehicles fitted with Dynamic Response System (DRS) it is possible that the positive battery cable could come in contact with the DRS fluid supply pipes. If this condition occurs the positive battery lead could chaff on the DRS pipe which will then lead to DRS pipes becoming positively charged. Should the charge find an earth then localised melting of components could occur due to heat generation. This could ultimately result in a vehicle fire.

Remedy, as DVSA words it

Recall all affected vehicles to check and if necessary replace the positive battery cable then reroute the cable.

What changed since we first read it

Nothing yet. The wording has been the same on every read since 4 September 2026. The file is read again every day; if DVSA rewrites the defect, remedy or concern, the old and new text will appear here with both dates.

The same recall in other registers

No match found in the American, Canadian or European registers by manufacturer reference, because the reference DVSA lists is too short to match safely. A recall can exist abroad under a different reference; this site only claims a match when the reference agrees.
