Drawbar Trailer Telescopic Towing Beam122 April 201122 April 2011

Concern

Drawbar beam may crack

Defect, as DVSA words it

It is possible reinforcing plates for the drawbar mounting on the trailer may have been manufactured out of brittle steel. This has resulted in fractures around the mounting point on the trailer. If this was not identified during routine maintenance a trailer detachment could have occured.

Remedy, as DVSA words it

Recall the affected trailer and rework the drawbar mounting on the chassis.

What changed since we first read it

Nothing yet. The wording has been the same on every read since 4 September 2026. The file is read again every day; if DVSA rewrites the defect, remedy or concern, the old and new text will appear here with both dates.

The same recall in other registers

No match found in the American, Canadian or European registers by manufacturer reference, because DVSA lists none for this recall. A recall can exist abroad under a different reference; this site only claims a match when the reference agrees.
