Transport Canada carries this recall as 2022521, dated 16 September 2022. The American register carries the same defect as campaign 22V684, dated 14 September 2022. They are the same defect because the manufacturer filed both under one internal campaign code, 22C23.

The two registers are 2 days apart: the American entry is dated first, the Canadian one second.
These are the dates each register records against its own notice. They are separate administrative acts in two countries, recorded by two authorities under two sets of rules, and this page does not claim that one caused the other or that owners in either country were contacted on those days. What it shows is that the same manufacturer campaign reached the two registers on different dates.
Read the American notice 22V684, including every earlier version of its wording this site holds. The Canadian register explains why the manufacturer code is published there and what that makes possible. Canada and America sets every matched pair side by side.

Issue: rnOn certain trucks, a problem with the instrument panel cover may cause the passenger-front airbag not to inflate properly in a crash. This could also cause plastic pieces to be propelled toward vehicle occupants when the airbag inflates. rnNote: This recall only affects vehicles with an admiral blue or carmine red interior. rnrnSafety Risk: rnThe passenger-front airbag may not open and inflate properly in a crash, and plastic pieces could be propelled towards the vehicle occupants. This could create an increased risk of injury in a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnFord will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealership to replace the right-hand instrument panel cover.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2022521.
