Issue: rnOn certain XC40 Recharge models, water may enter the wire harness for the accelerator pedal. If this happens, the accelerator pedal may not work properly. This problem could also cause the vehicle not to start. rnrnSafety Risk: rnAn accelerator pedal that does not work properly could cause a loss of power to the wheels or a sudden unintended acceleration. Both could increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnVolvo will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to add a cable splice to the accelerator pedal wiring.
