Issue: rnOn certain snowmobiles, unburned fuel may ignite in a hot exhaust pipe. This can happen when the engine returns to idle after running under heavy loads or high-speeds. This could melt the plastics around the exhaust pipe and cause a fire.rn rnSafety Risk: rnA fire creates a risk of injury and/or property damage.rn rnCorrective Actions: rnThe company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to have the Electronic Control Module (ECM) reprogrammed.rnNote: Owners should not use their snowmobile until the recall repairs are completed.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2019102.
