ON CERTAIN SNOWMOBILES, THE USE OF A HEXAGON NUT INSTEAD OF A FLANGE NUT IN THE BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY MAY, THROUGH OVERTORQUING, RESULT IN FAILURE OF THE CHAIN CASE RETAINING BOSS. THIS COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF BRAKING.

Transport Canada recorded this notice in capitals, as its system did for many years. It is reproduced here exactly as published.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1981006.
