On certain vehicles, a manufacturing problem could lead to the development of a fatigue crack in the front spindles. This could cause a spindle failure and result in the possible separation of a wheel from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the defective front spindles.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2018206.
