Issue: rnOn certain side-by-sides, water could enter the throttle cable. As a result, when operated in cold weather, the water could freeze and cause the accelerator pedal to stick. rnrnSafety Risk: rnAn accelerator pedal that sticks could cause a loss of control and create the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnTo reduce the safety risk, CFMOTO recommends that you should not use your side-by-side in temperatures near or below freezing point until the recall repairs are completed. CFMOTO will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your side-by-side to a dealership to replace the throttle cable.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2024509.
