On certain aerial devices installed on utility service vehicles (to elevate personnel in order to facilitate working on overhead service lines, for tree trimming, etc.), the rod eye casting on the lower boom hydraulic lift cylinder may crack and fail. This could allow the boom to fall, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the hydraulic lift cylinder.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2011314.
