On certain vehicles, a defect in the front steering knuckle carrier could allow the knuckle carrier to break under normal loading conditions. This could cause a wheel to separate from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Vehicles will be inspected to determine if they are fitted with affected steering knuckle carriers. Those found to be of a particular production date will be replaced.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2015314.
