Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 108 - Lighting System and Retroreflective Devices. In the case of a rear turn signal failure, an operator would not be alerted by an increase in the flasher rate. This does not meet the performance requirements of the standard and could result in other road users not being aware of a driveru2019s intended actions, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will update the Body Control Module software.
