Issue: rnOn certain trucks, when the manual override is used to switch off the daytime running lamps (DRLs), the lights may not turn on again when you start driving. Canadian regulations require that if DRLs are manually turned off, they must turn on again when you start driving. rnrnSafety Risk: rnDriving without daytime running lights could make the vehicle less visible to others and increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnVolvo Trucks will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to update the vehicle software.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2021120.
