Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, the bolt used to attach the lower steering shaft to the steering gear may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the connection could loosen and cause a loss of steering control. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA loss of steering control could increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnMercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, tighten or replace the lower steering shaft bolt.
