On certain trucks equipped with super single tires, vibration frequency from the suspension may result in fatigue cracking of the mounting brackets for the brake cam tubes. In time the crack could propagate and cause of the brake cam tube support bracket(s) to fail, which could result in a loss of brakes at the corresponding wheel end. This could increase stopping distances, possibly causing a vehicle crash resulting in property damage, personal injuries or death. Correction: Dealers will install an additional support bracket to the brake cam tubes.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2009025.
