SUBJECT ENGINES MAY EXPERIENCE A LOSS OF THE GOVERNOR SERVO PIN. THIS WOULD RESULT IN THE ENGINE AND VEHICLE CONTINUING AT THEIR RESPECTIVE SPEEDS UNTIL A CHANGE IN LOAD OCCURS (I.E. TERRAIN, BRAKES OR CLUTCH) AND ENGINE BRAKING COULD BE REDUCED WITH A SUBSEQUENT INCREASE IN STOPPING DISTANCE AND THE RISK OF A CRASH. CORRECTION: THE GOVERNOR RACK SERVO CYLINDER ASSEMBLY WILL BE REPLACED ON AFFECTED ENGINES.

Transport Canada recorded this notice in capitals, as its system did for many years. It is reproduced here exactly as published.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1992133.
