On certain motorcycles, the connecting rod bolts could loosen and separate from the connecting rod. This could cause the rear-wheel to lock-up if the engine fails and seizes creating the risk of a crash. Additionally engine failure may also cause oil to leak in front of the rear tire which may render the vehicle unstable. These issues could result in property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace connecting rod bolts and apply a thread-locking agent to the bolts.
