On certain travel trailers, the 30 Amp power cord inlet is located directly above the exhaust outlet for the water heater. Heat from the exhaust outlet could cause the power cord or the power cord hatch to melt. This may create a fire risk. Additionally, if the cord melts to the point where bare wires are exposed, there is an increased risk of electrocution if someone touches an exposed wire. Correction: The power cord hatch will be relocated to the rear wall of the travel trailer. The remedy will include installation of a hook on the rear wall of the trailer to ensure the cord is positioned away from the water heater exhaust outlet.
