Issue: rnOn certain side-by-side UTV's, there is a problem with software that controls the throttle. If the engine stalls and is restarted without switching the key to the off position, the throttle may not return to idle. If the vehicle is in gear when restarted, it could accelerate suddenly. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA vehicle that accelerates suddenly when started could create the risk of a crash. rn rnCorrective Actions: rnPolaris will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update engine software. Polaris advises you not to drive your vehicle until the recall repairs have been completed.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2020141.
