Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, the high-voltage battery could overheat while using level 3 quick charging. As a result, the battery could create smoke or heat, which can melt or damage the battery and nearby parts. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA battery that overheats can create a fire risk. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnTo reduce the safety risk, Nissan recommends not to use the level 3 quick charging until the recall repairs have been completed. Nissan will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the vehicle software.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2024542.
