On some trucks equipped with Eaton Ultrashift transmissions, air brake lines could be squeezed between the cab and the transmission electronic clutch actuator. This could cause the air lines to wear, potentially resulting in an air leak. Air leakage could result in partial loss of brake function, which could increase stopping distance. These issues could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, reroute the air lines.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2012343.
