Some travel trailers were equipped with two carbon monoxide (CO) detectors instead of one smoke detector and one carbon monoxide detector. In the event of a fire, the lack of a smoke detector could increase the risk of property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect to see if the incorrect detector was installed and replace as necessary.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2012244.
