Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, the windshield wiper motor may stop working when snow and/or ice builds up on the windshield. rnNote: This recall replaces Transport Canada Recall No. 2022-465. Vehicles that were already repaired under Hyundai recall campaign R0222 don't require this repair. rnrnSafety Risk: rnWindshield wipers that don't work properly could affect a driver's visibility. This could increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnHyundai will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the driver's windshield wiper arm. Hyundai advises that if the wipers stop working, you should clear any buildup of snow or ice before restarting the wipers.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2023148.
