Issue: rnOn certain school buses, the CAN bus connector for the high-voltage battery may not have been installed properly. As a result, water could enter the connector and cause a short circuit. This could cause a sudden loss of power while driving, including a loss of power steering assist and reduced braking. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA sudden loss of power could increase the risk of a crash. A loss of power steering assist can cause a sudden increase in steering effort, and increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, reduced braking can cause an extended stopping distance and increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnLion u00c9lectrique will advise owners by mail and provide you with precautions that may be taken to reduce the safety risks. Lion will also arrange for a service team to reinstall or replace the connector, as necessary.
